LEET vs JEE after a diploma: which path is right for you?
Diploma done — should you attempt lateral entry (LEET) or restart with JEE? Here's an honest comparison.
Time & cost
Lateral entry gets you a degree in three more years (you enter year two). JEE means four years from year one. Lateral entry is faster and usually cheaper overall.
Competition
In lateral entry you compete with fellow diploma holders for dedicated seats. In JEE you compete with lakhs of Class 12 students. For most diploma holders, lateral entry is the more winnable field.
When JEE might make sense
If you're targeting a specific institute that only admits at year one, JEE could be the route. Otherwise, lateral entry is the efficient path. Compare with the LEET guide.
